The Minimal Viable Product (MVP) celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2021. The concept was introduced by Frank Robinson in 2001. Steve Blank expanded on it in 2005 with the Customer Development Methodology. In 2011 Eric Reis popularized the MVP concept in his book The Lean Startup.
